The Forum offered an opportunity for multi-stakeholders to exchange experiences and policy lessons from different countries including from the Arab region and will help to consolidate the Decent Work approach in the national development strategies and plans.

The Forum seeks to contribute to a better understanding on how a Decent Work approach can contribute to the enhancement of the broader international development agenda reflected by the Millennium Development Goals with an emphasis on the progressive elimination of poverty.

This Forum fits within the initiatives undertaken by the Institute on a regular basis to provide the region and other part of the world with academic research and knowledge as well as interdisciplinary dialogue aimed at exchange of best practices and coherent policy formulation .The forum also contributed in the preparations of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Intenational Year of The Family, 2014.
