Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) and the Muslim Resource Centre for Social Support and Integration (MRCSSI) will hold a symposium on “Gender, Family, and Marital Relationships among Arab Refugee Families in Canada”.
Offered an opportunity for multi-stakeholders to exchange experiences and policy lessons from countries including the Arab region, and help to consolidate the Decent Work approach in the national development strategies.
Examined the complex linkages between the Arab families, the MDG and the evolution of the AIDS epidemics in the Middle East
Explored how international migration affects families, in particular women and children, and how family functions in the context of migration can be strengthened by good governance policies/practices.
Explored the jurisprudential principles that underlie the legal recognition of and substantive laws regulating extended family relations, and the implications of such laws and social phenomena for intergenerational solidarity.
