
The Center for Gulf Studies at Qatar University organized the 8th annual international interdisciplinary conference entitled “Gulf Families:Continuity and Change” in collaboration with the Doha International Family Institute
Dr. Sharifa Noaman Al-Emadi, Executive Director of the Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), was invited by the Head of Office of the Sandor Palace in the Republic of Hungary, to participate in the 5th Budapest Demographic Summit in Hungary, which was held under the title “Family: the Key to Security” alongside an elite group of experts in family studies and policies. Dr. Al-Emadi participated in a panel discussion on “Science and Demography,” in which she highlighted the importance of family policies in supporting families, and the contributions that DIFI has in this field at the national, regional, and international levels. Dr. Al-Emadi highlighting the main challenges facing families, and how familism – which emphasizes the key role of families within society – is a solution.
The Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) has launched the OSRA research grant in its sixth cycle which is a research grant on Arab families and family policy related issues.
