Meeting Between the Doha International Institute for Family Studies Delegation and the Iraqi Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs

The delegation from the Doha International Institute for Family Studies met with Dr. Huda Sajad Mahmoud, the Deputy Minister for Social Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, along with several officials and specialists from the Ministry. During the meeting, the delegation reviewed the results and recommendations of the study “Enhancers of Family Cohesion in Baghdad: Exploring Dimensions of Domestic Violence and Divorce,” conducted by the Widows Training and Development Center in collaboration with the Doha International Institute for Family Studies, which was published in September 2024. The two sides also discussed contemporary family issues and social problems, exploring possible solutions and ways to strengthen family cohesion in Arab communities. The meeting included discussions on potential cooperation between the Doha International Institute for Family Studies and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Iraq.
