
DIFI participated on in the 5th Budapest Demographic Summit in Hungary
The Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), participated at the Regional Consultation on ‘Parenting Support in the MENA Region’, organized by the UNICEF Middle East and North Africa Regional Office (UNICEF MENARO) and UNICEF Jordan in collaboration with Maestral International, held from June 11-13, 2019, in Amman, Jordan.
The regional consultation is part of a wider consultancy project geared towards the provision of strategic and technical guidance to UNICEF and partners relating to “the effective and scalable implementation of evidence-based parenting interventions for children and adolescents in the MENA region.The event provided a platform for stakeholders, NGOs, and organizations to gain common understanding of key evidence on effective, scalable, and sustainable parenting interventions designed to improve multiple child outcomes across various developmental stages, from infancy to adolescence.
DIFI participated in the second session of day one of the consultation, focusing on ‘Global and Regional Experiences on Parenting Support’, where Dr. Anis Ben Brik, Director of Family Policy Department, DIFI, presented findings of DIFI’s regionally groundbreaking report ‘Parenting Programs in the Arab Region’”
The event provided a platform for stakeholders, NGOs, and organizations to gain common understanding of key evidence on effective, scalable, and sustainable parenting interventions designed to improve multiple child outcomes across various developmental stages, from infancy to adolescence.
The Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) has launched the OSRA research grant in its sixth cycle which is a research grant on Arab families and family policy related issues.
