
DIFI participated on in the 5th Budapest Demographic Summit in Hungary
In Collaboration with Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) launched the Osra Research Grant, an annual research grant that focuses on the Arab family and family policy related issues.
Held in Texas A&M and attended by members of local research community, experts, and NGOs, the event commenced by a welcome note from Dr. Abdul Sattar Al-Taie – QNRF Executive Director, followed by a welcoming speech from Miss Noor Al Malki Al Jehani- Executive Director of DIFI, introducing the leading role of the Institute and its research strategy in focusing on Arab Family issues, considering this a core business of DIFI.
A presentation about the Osra Grant was delivered by Dr. Mohammed Mohiedin, Director of Family Research Division in DIFI and Dr. Sadeem Jawhar- Program Specialist in QNRF, introducing the Grant and describing its goals, conditions, and procedures of registration and subscription.

It also highlighted the goal of the grant ,which is to encourage research aimed at developing a knowledge-base on the Arab family, focusing on the four main themes of OSRA that can be used for the development of evidence-based policies and programs to promote the well-being of the family.
