Child Protection and Digital Safety Conference

As part of the “Child Protection and Digital Safety” Conference, Dr. Khalid Al-Naama, Director of Advocacy and Outreach at the Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), delivered a presentation on “Protecting Children from Violence and Exploitation Online.” The presentation highlighted key psychological and social challenges facing children in digital spaces, such as cyberbullying, harmful content exposure, and weakened family communication, while outlining pathways to empowerment through family and school dialogue, and the development of national child protection policies. Dr. Al-Naama concluded his intervention with a powerful reflection: “Children do not need a digital cage; they need a digital compass.”
