Pre‑Conference: Expert Group Meeting (EGM)

In collaboration with the Qatar Mission to the United Nations in Geneva, DIFI participated in the 56th Session of the Human Rights Council. The participation aimed to highlight family-related issues within the human rights agenda and served as a preparatory engagement for the upcoming International Year of the Family +30 Conference, to be held in October 2026 in Doha.  

Objectives and Outcomes

  • Strengthen collaboration with Qatar’s diplomatic missions in promoting family policy dialogue globally.
  • Highlight DIFI’s role as a leading regional advocate for family well-being within international human rights platforms
  • Set the stage for international participation in the IYF+30 Conference in Doha (October 2024).
