
DIFI participated on in the 5th Budapest Demographic Summit in Hungary
The Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) in partnership with World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) and World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) organized a side event titled “Technological Changes, Innovation, and the Family during the 5th UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5), The panel discussion was participated by Ms. Laila Baker, Regional Director, UNFPA-Arab States , Dr. Raian Ali, Professor, College of Science and Engineering, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Professor Shekhar Saxena, Professor of the Practice of Global Mental Health, Global Health and Population, Harvard T H Chan School of Public Health, and the session was moderated by Ms. Rawaa Auge, Presenter, Al Jazeera Media Network .
The panel discussion aims to discuss the impact of technological change and innovation on families, while looking at the implications on education and health and how policies and programs can support and empower families in LDCs.
The Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) has launched the OSRA research grant in its sixth cycle which is a research grant on Arab families and family policy related issues.
